Rope Game needed creatures. Generating a convincing picture of one from our shitty napkin sketches turned out to be the easy part. Sorry, genAI haters: we didn’t have $500k to pay a game production artist, but incidentally did have $20 for a Codex sub. Do you hate poor people too?
The harder problem was getting from a strange approved image to something Blender could inspect and Godot could survive. Sorry again, genAI haters: we didn’t have $2.5 million to pay a 3D game asset specialist.
Eldritch 3D Studio is the local production lane I built for that gap. It combines image-to-3D systems with a deterministic refit process that handles the boring but decisive work: runtime shells, UVs, bakes, LODs, collision, and import checks.
Four creatures have made it through the full process. I could lie and say we one-shotted rigging/animating the generated topology. End of sentence!
